Today we celebrate our links with a community in Ghana and also our new links with China. Our school has sent 2 groups of pupils to Ghana over the last few years and we have received a few visits from Ghanaians as well. I went in summer 2009 in one of the trips which was actually unrelated to the school but with Mr Dyer, Head of Science, and the man who set the ball rolling on the whole endeavour. It is brilliant to think that what he started has now led to pupils from our school having the opportunity to go to Ghana and see a different culture.
Modern Studies are taking a trip to China in June 2013, visiting Beijing. I can speak from experience in saying that it truly is an awesome place to go to, and again pupils will get to see a different culture.
