The city of Orlando, Florida has won the first part of its ambitious plan to build a Mag-Lev train. Mag-Lev’s use magnetism to enable the train to hover or float above the ground, making it capable of high speeds.
The main route will be between the Orange County Convention Center and Orlando International Airport. The projected fee would be $13 one way, which is hoped would generate a profit.
The overall cost of the Mag-Lev has been estimated at $315 million, which in today’s terms seems relatively cheap!
